Frida Kahlo in everyday life, Leo Matiz’s photos exhibited at Ono Contemporary Art gallery in Bologna, until 28 February.
It will be held in Bologna the photographic project “Frida Kahlo. The photographs of Leo Matiz“, exhibition dedicated entirely to the young Frida. About thirty photographs exposed, concentrated mainly in everyday image of the painter in his native district Cayocan in Mexico City, where Leo met her and they became friends.
The result is a series of photographs particularly intimate and vivid that have managed to penetrate, as far as possible, the true image and essence of the Mexican artist, thanks to the friendship that for years has tied Leo and Frida.
Showcasing not only the photos of Leo Matiz but also Vanna Vinci‘s preparatory sketches, work study for the comic strip biography dedicated to Frida Kahlo which 24 ORE Cultura will publish in autumn 2016. In addition to the preparatory drawings of the project, will also be exhibited four artwork created ad hoc by the artist and of which were made a short runs.
A good opportunity to see the essence of Frida Kahlo, revolutionary woman, both artistically and culturally.
